"So, I am going to start by soaking two cups of dates in one and a half cups of hot milk. You can use one cup of hot milk if you wish, the choice is yours. These should soak for thirty minutes."

She set those aside and brought the ones she had soaked while they were talking about Rodney's son.

"These, I soaked already so I will be using them instead. Now, the soaked dates and milk go into a blender."

She turned two blenders on at the same time, one for brown dates and one for pink.

"Blend this until it turns thick and makes a paste. This paste goes into a glass bowl from the blender and into it, I am adding vegetable oil one hundred ninety millimetres or three and a quarter cups.
