It was two hours past that chaos. Edwin and Noah were in a hospital canteen, eating brunch. It was arranged for Kaveh's room to move from the intensive ward to the general community, where required somebody to accompany him. However, the issue was Kaveh's resistance to the Lohrasbs family. Following a discussion period, it was decided that Edwin should look after Kaveh.
Dena was OK with this. She wouldn't mind if it would get her away from Rojina. "Edwin, I want to ask you something about your brother, but if you think I'm overstepping my bounds, say the word,"
Dena replied. " Go ahead; I am all ears."
"Don't you think His Selective Amnesia is strange?"
Noah asked him sincerely. He was quite puzzled about what had happened in that room. Rojina's demeanour was odd at the end; her fleeing and reluctance to approach Kaveh made Noah suspicious of the patient boy. He knew that witches only feared one thing, and that was the legendary race that died a century ago. He wanted to ask Edwin about the changes in Kaveh, but he feared hurting Edwin's feelings.
It was a fact that Edwin was the one who put Kaveh in the hospital, and mentioning the incident was like adding salt to an injury. So he chose to ask nothing more than questions about his amnesia.
Dena fidgeted with her fingers. In the original story, it was the opposite. Kaveh gradually distanced himself from the protagonist and turned a deaf ear to his warnings.
Noah was the one who solved everything behind the scenes. However, she remembered that Kaveh had a good relationship with Kathy, his mother, in the story. In the bedroom, however, she felt great hostility between them.
" I am not sure, logically experiencing that kinda trauma, the victim subconsciously would have a lingering fear of his predator, but he still remembers it and has no problem with it. Yet, he had enmity with others. It's strange."
Dena analysed the issue. Noah lifted his eyes, surprised. ' why do you speak like you were not involved? As a third-person viewpoint? It was you who did it!!'
"Yes, you have a point."
Noah did not explore the matter more, lest he would be alienated from Edwin.
He learned that prying into persons with secrets would lead to having their guard up more against him.
He drank his coffee while slowly contemplating the three days they spent together. His avoidance of his family members, his strange familiarity with him and his awkwardness around people raised doubts in Noah.
Edwin's phone rang and made Noah come back from his thoughts.
"Okay, I'll be back in a little bit."
Dena got up and said, "I need to do a few errands for Kaveh. Are you going with me? Or have you other plans?"
" No, I am free. I tag along with you."
Inside Kaveh's room, plenty of people organised the necessary clothes and essentials efficiently. Dena faced this scene when she arrived, "What the hell? Didn't the hospital supply those things to its patients?"
Butler Han responded respectfully. "Young Master, their products fail to meet the standards of the Lohrasbs family."
Dena pondered, 'Who are they? Royalty? 'She didn't interfere with their work and entered the inner room where Kaveh was resting.
Dena stopped close to Noah.
Upon seeing her, Kaveh's face bloomed and said.
"oh, big brother, you are here."
She then stared at Noah, perplexed.
"I haven't been introduced to this person yet."
" This is my boyfriend, Noah Gashtasb."
The eyes of Kaveh widened visibly. " boyfriend?"
Noah nodded for confirmation.
Kaveh thought that was not important. 'Noah Gashtasb? That legendary agent?'
In his previous life, the only person who fought with that psycho was him. He was famous for his extraordinary disguising ability, and No one saw his natural face until the end. But most people had known him as a hero. His accomplishments were spread across the country when he defeated that psychopath and liberated many people from the research institute, including himself. Though Kaveh did not require his help, he was thankful for his sacrifice.
Yes, sacrifice! He died in that war against criminals.
'What's he up to? Did he come here to spy on Edwin or the family? Or is it Edwin's actual boyfriend? Be that as it may, my plans would likely go awry with him around.'
"My feelings are hurt. Am I, not your brother? Why haven't you told me you swing that way?"
Dena dodged Kaveh's eyes.
' I don't; I am Hetro! I'm a woman on the inside; your brother did, not me. okay?'
She could say nothing of all this. She moved on to another topic. " oh right, what do you want me to do for you?"
Kaveh gave him an envelope as he explained.
"Take this and go to the address I sent you on the phone. Just tell them this is from a friend. Don't speak a word of our family."
" Who are they? Why do you hide from these people? Are they dangerous? What is in the envelope?" Dena fired a series of questions.
Kaveh grinned with twinkling eyes.
" What is with your reaction?" Dena said while pinching his cheek.
" aw, aw, I'm telling you. Cut it out."
Dena let it go.
Kaveh rubbed his face and gazed upon Noah. Dena guessed his meaning. "You can speak before him. He is trustworthy."
"All right, If you say so. That person is somebody I owed her. She is a kind and friendly girl, but I was an asshole to her. I fear she wouldn't accept it if she knew it was from me. I came across this information before I was hospitalised, but I could not give it to her. Perhaps it's a little late, but I wanted to do everything for her."
Dena, upon hearing the word hospitalisation sensed overwhelming guilt and helplessly agreed.
They were ready to go by the time they heard a noise outside.
Noah opened the door to see his majestic masked brother holding flowers and a fruit basket! The scene was quite amusing. Noah chuckled suddenly.
On the other hand, Dena was surprised to see Radin here while a thunderbolt struck Kaveh. His face paled in fear. The last moment of his life came to his mind. The enraged masked man changed to a wolf and leapt towards him, violently tearing his throat.
