Bab 1824: Only One Step Away

The base was currently surrounded by guards. Even though Huo Yao was excellent at fighting, she was sorely outnumbered at the moment.

Since she had walked into the base on her own accord, it made no sense to let her go.

Shangguan Hou took a step back and waited for everything to end.

At this moment, a rumbling sound could be heard coming from underground. It was loud, almost like an earthquake and even the walls were vibrating from it.

Everyone was startled by the explosion. They stood where they were and couldn't do anything about Huo Yao for now.

"What happened?" Shangguan Hou frowned.

"Sounds like it's coming from the mountain gate," said the security team chief anxiously as he pressed his mike to ask his men about the cause.

However, his mike failed to work after a long time.

The connection was cut off.

The security team chief looked up. Just as he was about to speak, the light overhead suddenly went off completely.
