I knew he would return to check on the young boy we captured, but I didn't try to follow him, knowing he needed to discover the truth on his own. Kim, the culprit of more than 10 mass homicides, has one peculiarity, and that's murdering those who fully trust him. For now, Brys is safe. I doubt he has gotten to the point of being targeted by Kim — just yet.

"My prince, do you need me to check on him?" Ray fell in line with me as I went over to the blueprint room, trying not to think of Brys.

What he said is true. I need to stop acting like he's out to cheat on me any chance he gets, but I can't help it, not when he's too cute for his own good.

"No, don't. I need him to discover the truth on his own," I continued down the hall, pretending like I didn't have the urge to turn around and stalk him instead of going forward.
