Only thirty knights were handpicked to serve as the personal guards of Duke Elian, gaining exclusive access to the Duke's Palace.
However, after their entrance, an eerie stillness settled over the palace. Days turned into a week, and yet the Duke remained unseen, his absence shrouded in mystery.
Strangely enough, none of the knights who had entered the palace emerged either.
Alas, there was no one present to raise any concerns about the missing knights. This was due to the common link that most of those selected shared. It was that they had no families to return to. Consequently, their absence went unnoticed and unquestioned.
Only a few Knights in the camp could occasionally be seen wondering about the people who were selected. However, their musings remained confined to idle space,
