In a week, it was time for The Triplets to start their official classes at the kindergarten, and for Steve Burton, the one he couldn't let go of was his dear little daughter, Candice.
Steve's love for Candice was almost infuriating, so much so that even when Chise and Ruby hadn't yet started babbling, he would squat in front of the crib every day, telling his twin boys that they must put their little sister first in the future, and everything else second.
Perhaps it was because of Steve's constant nagging that, before The Triplets could talk, Steve and Ruby Gregory had quarreled over whether the kids would call out "Dad" or "Mom" first. In the end, surprisingly, when The Triplets spoke one after another over three consecutive days, they called neither "Dad" nor "Mom" but "sister."
