The air in the car was filled with a flirtatiously ambiguous atmosphere.

With every breath Ruby took, she could smell this scent, constantly reminding her of the humiliation she had just endured. She couldn't bear to stay in the car for even a moment longer.

Regardless of how uncomfortable she felt, she managed to endure and slowly straightened her clothes. Then, after glancing at Steve, she pushed the door open, lowered her head, and hurriedly got out of the car.

Steve thought he would see grievance and tears in Ruby's eyes, but her eyes were as dark and clear as ever, without even a hint of dampness.

A familiar sense of defeat welled up within him as he watched her through the car window, her steps slightly frantic as she headed towards her home. Perhaps he had been too rough with her earlier, causing her pain as she walked with a slight limp.
