Perhaps Lucien did not know the drawbacks of his current state, but Nolian was very aware of them.
He was now fused with the abomination, and although it was possible to separate from it, the longer the fusion lasted, the less complete the separation would be. Eventually, to a certain extent, he would be permanently merged into the body of the abomination, becoming the "spirit" of this creation he had crafted.
This was something Nolian absolutely could not accept.
After all, becoming the abomination meant cutting off his own hopes for advancement, and he might even be enslaved or controlled by powerful wizards later on, or worse, lose himself entirely.
"Lucien, weren't you here to kill me?" the abomination roared as it devoured corpses to augment its form while speaking in a thunderous voice.
