Empress Ling looked at Atlas, her eyes full of undisguised anger. Not only is he late to celebrate their victory against the Yu state,  but he didn't even use her title.

Everyone fears her since the empress dowager died, as they should, and call her by that title. But the son of a whore, dared to act so rudely. Ling looked at her son Xiaoshu and he nodded.

Atlas looked at his eunuch and he poured him wine. He took a sip and licked his lips, enjoying the fruity taste. Everyone looked at him enthralled, including Yixin.

They already thought he looked beautiful when he walked in gracefully, despite being late, but now his eyes were misty and his lips red as blood.

His golden eyes were shining and he looked divine. Usually, Atlas wouldn't even be worth a look, but right now they felt like they weren't worthy to be looking at him.

They all stopped staring at him when Chaoyang stood up. He walked to the Emperor and bowed.
