Bab 227: Strength

"Young Master, let's go." Marcus urged. Lucien nods and he went with Marcus to cross the field. They found a secret latch loosely sealed at the side gate. A hole is made, good for one person to slip through. Lucien goes first. And then Marcus.

They fix their clothes, patting for dirt and other mud clinging into their clothes. Lucine look up at the sky and sigh. The sun has fully risen. The people have started opening their windows and went on to their daily morning routine.

While Lucien and Marcus walk through the market, they hear whispers.

"Did you hear?"

"Another noble family's house are caught in the flames last night."

Lucien almost lose his concentration. Marcus gave him a slight nudge. Encouraging him to continue. The voice is from a few pace away from them.

And somehow… the person knew. That they are humans hiding in the boulder. Or else he would not call out 'whose there?' and directly attack instead.
