Bab 275: The Fight

Xia Chun picked up a vase and threw it at the door, which startled Mama Lin.

"What are you rushing me for? Do you think I'll owe you money for the groceries?" Xia Chun had no place to vent her anger, so she yelled at Mama Lin who was standing at the door.

Mama Lin patted her chest and said with a weird tone, "Madam, I've paid for the food for the past two days. No matter what, I've raised madam and young miss. You should be polite to me."

Xiachun didn't expect Mama Lin, who had always been obedient, would embarrass her like that. Her voice immediately turned sharp and she said with resentment, "Who do you think you are? Do you think you deserve my respect? You're just a servant in our family. Don't think too highly of yourself!"
