Bab 186: Chapter 186

 I have encountered a beast man, a lich, a dragon. I have seen gods battle albeit not in person.

 So when would the time I see some elves come? The next country? We are not going to be making any more stops so I guess I should give up.

 But seriously, a vampire? Why is this the first time I am hearing of it?

 "Is he under you? Why haven't you mentioned him before?" I whispered and Katarina gave me a complicated look.

 "Well, he is technically not under me. Of course, I'll decimate him in combat but subduing his soul has proven rather difficult. It would have been hard to find a way to do it while keeping his mind intact so I came to an agreement with him. He obeys me but only to a certain extent." She replied and I understood what was happening.

 In other words, he wasn't under her magic but was working for her of his own free will. Which also meant that he could potentially betray her.
