Bab 108: Chapter 108

"What is going on?" Kire had just exited the dimension created by Joshua when he found a humanoid creature with beast like horns growing from its head chasing a small boy

'A devil?' Kire summoned a gust of wind that ripped the devil apart.

"Hello." Despite the urgency of the situation, Kire knew his first task was to calm the boy down and identify where he was.

"Mama..." The body sobbed as he spoke a single word and Kire looked at the human blood on the boy and understood what had happened.

He gently took the child into his arms and rubbed his back in small circles and dispelled his armour to avoid inconveniencing the child.

"I'm sorry." He didn't tell the boy it would be alright because that would be a lie.

And one of the cruelest thing to do would be to give someone false hope.

"Hey kiddo." After the boy's sobs had subsided a little, Kire released him and wiped his tear marks with his fingers as he spoke to him.
