Bab 6: Tired

Half an hour later, I was led into a tent. Where a middle-aged human quickly rose to approach us.

His face was serious, unlined and his form sturdy. His hair was cut low and styled, sweeping to the right side of his head. With epicanthic eyes shaped similar to a crescent moon, thin lips, hairless face and angular features.

Together he was a handsome male but still, not like the beautiful male whose face I had yet to fully see.

"Hello, I am doctor Zumin, I will conduct a physical checkup on your form. While the nurse completes one for the newborn in your arms." I had never been so close to a live sheep before.

He spoke slowly, his voice was pleasant enough, his eyes non-threatening.

His entire form seems demure, presenting an overall non-threatening image. Still, I eyed the human for a while before handing over the small child.

I knew very well that if I resisted them too much. I might be deemed a danger for the small human and might never see him again. It was frustrating to be patient but this is a must anyway.

While the nurse took the squirming child, I watched her feeling a bit strange.

"Come, child, let me make sure you are healthy enough to enter the hospital."

The doctor said, jolting me slightly, looking up at him I followed his retreating form.

Entering a sealed off side with various equipment, I had become used to, I heard him ask, suddenly interrupting the quiet.

"How long were you within the building?" His eyes seemed overly bright. I stared at him wanting to shrink in on myself because this strange male is coming off as slightly too much. As if he realised that I was uncomfortable, he stepped back and cleared his throat, saying in a gracious tone."Have a seat in the chair over to the left... Yes there... Mmm... Good girl."

I sat leaning back and closing my eyes; it had been a truly good thing that I had read many books about the human body. Even the few days within that room with the small human scanning myself and comparing what I knew... My outward structure was not much different from the human system but that is if no one looks too closely. No one would really look closely; right? That would not be likely, right?

Swallowing and waiting for everything to be completed, I hoped to myself that I did pass for a normal human.

"All signs are positive, no known sickness found. Good girl, you may rise, can you tell me your name?" I didn't reply for a moment I really wanted to but somehow the words I wanted to form were stuck in my throat. I opened my mouth to speak up again feeling frustrated that the sheep language is coming off so hard but just as I wanted to try once again another voice was heard. Looking around, my gaze fell on the males who had escorted me entered previously.

I saw him look at me a little longer than needed before turning to the doctor and speaking, "She doesn't speak. Check and see if her vocals have been damaged."

The doctor turned to look at me with a frown, I felt my heart skip a beat at this. Praying that he really had found nothing wrong with me.

"During the physical examination, it showed that she is healthy, minus the fact she had lacked natural sunlight." I released a breath I had no idea I held. These humans are too complicated. "You can fix yourself and return to the previous room."

I nodded, leaving, walking around the armoured male whose mask had been discarded. His sight followed me, filled with scorn.

With an inward shrug, I ignored the human male and exited, anxious to hold the small human in my arms once more.

Immediately, I was greeted by the cries of the small human. Quickly I dashed in the direction of the small human. Picking him up and looked him over, before holding him against my chest.

Glaring at the female who stood there frozen. I raised my leg to kick her away in annoyance but stopped when the doctor entered the tent, followed by the other young human.

If I kicked the female away it might raise a big issue. Rumbling low in my throat I bowed my head to focus on the small human in my arms.

"Why was the child crying?" the doctor asked upon entering the tent. The female seemed nervous while answering. My gaze slanted to her, wishing I had moved slightly faster and kicked her across the tent.

"I was checking his mouth to see if his gums were healthy but-"

"Have you done anything else?"

"Y-y-yes doctor, I have the scans shows that besides proper air circulation -"

"It can be fixed at the hospital. Dress him so that the young master can have him taken away."

The doctor said sternly, while I looked down at the now calm, small human in my arms. His face was red, he was partially dressed, and I felt that he would need to feed soon.

There was still time anyway, and he had quieted down busily sniffing me.

"Little child follow this gentleman out. He will take you and the newborn to the hospital by air."

Nodding, I turned to the armoured human and exited the tent. There we walked past the collapsed area that had been previously known as my home in this world. I found with surprise that there was a dense forest area a little distance away. While in the opposite direction where I laid eyes on the thing that had fascinated me almost since learning about the objects used to travel by air in this human realm.

The humans were truly special. Unlike wolves, they made things to take them places much faster, instead of running and swimming for many days to reach the desired destination the machines they used would take minutes if not hours.

"Hold the newborn close, when you enter the helicopter place him in the baby seat so I can buckle him insecurely. Then you can take the seat beside him and secure yourself…"

He then explained how to secure the child. Not long later I repeated his instructions securing the small human. Once everything had been done correctly the door slid closed and we took to the air. I became quite curious at the quiet inside of the contraption. From what I had read before, these things tend to be quite noisy normally but from the interior, it can be understood.

The space was vast, comfortable plush seats: a triple to the back, a double to the front and three singles, sealed off is the pilot along with an extra seat to the far left of him where the armoured male sat.

Looking outside at the view in the dark, I admired the lights and small buildings below.

Finally, I will have a chance to see exactly how the humans lived instead of from books and screens I had the chance previously to glimpse.

"We will be arriving at our destination shortly."

Seeing that we were about to land, I turned to the now sleeping small human and poked him softly. His snow-white cheeks felt so soft to the touch. Ah, I will never part with this small human.

I thought, feeling the small jolt. Looking outside, I felt myself startle a bit at the person and group of people standing nearby.

Suddenly, I felt my head spinning, feeling exhaustion wash over me, shaking it I tried to keep myself as stable as possible. Looking at the thing called a 'seat belt', I unbuckled first myself and then the small human before reaching to pick him up but was obstructed by another.

I felt irritated by this.
