For the following month, Jack stayed close to Remington ordering him and cementing himself in the man's life. At this point, the workers had gotten slightly used to the threat that was Jack to their lives. A few tried to flee with their families,s but Jack's wolves were not just for show.
Only clean skulls remained of those who tried to ruin Jack's plan. However, the production of the Conner's rifle was starting to come along nicely. At first, the workers only produced 250 guns a day, but that was within expectation.
Their shorter working hours, the higher pay, and the threat of death made them all work at well as they could. They all noticed Jack and Remington speaking at the top of the stairs.
"Sir, the production and sale are going fairly slow. Even though the gun is proven to be better the 20$ price is quite high. However, we have made about 100 sales."
(628.21 $ per gun, about 60,000$ in today's money.)
Jack nodded. "That is expected guns are not needed on mass at the moment, but soon they will sell like hotcakes."
"What makes you so sure sir?"
Jack ran his hand down Red's fur and he spoke softly.
"Well let's just say I believe there will soon be a war in time. Should be in 10 years. That may seem like a lot, but trust me in time it will seem like nothing."
"Yoru promise of immortality sir."
Jack nodded squinting his eyes as the workers toiled.
"What are you sir if you don't mind me asking?"
Jack looked at him and smiled.
"What do you think I am?"
"I have no clue."
"Let's keep it at that for now. Now, keep the production steady and in time the amount we have maid will seem like chump change. Now I am leaving, keep things running. Red, we're leaving."
The wolf got up following his master closely.
"Yes sir."
Now that he had secured a means of income in the North it might be a good idea to go to Canada, but he decided against it. He will wait for Logan's depressing life as that was what made the man interesting. For now, it was time to just go practice.
Jack had purchased a nice large house before prices got too high. When he entered followed by Red the rest of the wolves and Dante who landed on his shoulder all came to greet him.
"Seems things are going well, what do you think Jim."
Jack looked at the young man who was by the wall. That was Jim Smith. He was a young black man who Jack found getting beat by a couple of cops for not getting off the sidewalk for white people. Jack decided to try his venom on him and the cops, but only Jim survived.
Jim now was Jack's first successful werewolf and Jack has to say it was well worth it. He gained a few of Jack's abilities, but some of them were not as strong. His regeneration was far weaker than Jack's and he could not control the wind.
He did have the ability to control the miasma that Demon werewolves did, but as expected it was not as strong as the original. Jack ordered him to look after his estate and feed his pet's
"I feel so much power and all issues I had before are gone. All thank's to you, my lord."
"Good, now did you do as I ordered."
"Yes your pets have been fed and I have been looking for workers for you. Do you plan to turn them as well my lord?"
"Not me, you. You were a rare survivor, you felt and saw how my venom reacts to the human body. I think they will have a higher chance of survival if it's you. That will have to wait."
He bowed and went out to go do his duties. Jack walked up the stairs with his pet's who had been bathed and combed. When Jack closed the door he sat on the bed and began to drag magic from the air into his room.
He struggled to control it so he was just eating it. The small amount he absorbed was enough to give him a few insights as his cells simulated the magic. Small fireballs appeared around him going in a circle around him.
The more magic he ate the more fireballs appeared. They were barely big enough to count as fireballs from his lack of experience. He was going in blind and training as well as he could, but he only kept at it for 30 minutes until it was obvious he needed the proper technique for this.
He looked out the window thinking o when would be a good idea to set up his steel company. Of course, he planned to move back to Texas for his money and his oil fields as that was going to be his prize.
He looked at his pet's who seemed to have stopped growing, but they were still getting stronger. The stronger he got the stronger they got. Jack looked at Dante who was still perched on his shoulder.
"Is Death looking at me right now?"
Death decided to be honest with Jack and she blocked off her connection with Dante who was now bound to Jack himself. As a result, the Raven could speak to Jack and he said no.
Jack sighed as much as he did not want to admit it, having Death's attention on him was quite nice. As long as she kept her human form and not her skeleton one. He was after all a man and what man with any balls would hate a beautiful woman wanting them.
Well maybe gay ones, but Jack was not one of those. He left his room after his small training, but that was one of the few things he could do at the moment. Training and running his buinssess.
"No one said time was this slow. Oh well, more money for me."
Jack went out exploring the growing city. There were plenty of businesses opportunities he could take which would all bring him wealth. However, he planned to leave a few to their original owners. Steel, guns, and Oil were going to be his monopoly.
'Oh, I should relax, slow and steady wins the race.'
Jack walked off into the city and began his slow take over some plans. As time went on the Partnership with Remgimton was solid as after a year Jim turned the man into a second-generation werewolf. With that came more that were turned.
For the next 13 years, Jack gathered the poor, minorities, criminals, immigrants and he also managed to turn about 9 more people himself along with Jim, but among them were two women. They were experiments that survived Jack's venom.
Of course, all of them were loyal to the progenitor, and as such a few businesses were set up with some of his first-generation werewolf at the front. Many of his steel factories were already up and running which were 'owned' by Jim himself.
They hired minorities, immigrants, and whites and paid them all equally. This also meant that some did not agree and went on strike, but they were simply replaced by more people who were happy to work for 50 cents a day with shorter hours with weekends off.
Of course, nothing could stay steady, and a few riots as a result of Jack's lack of racist ideology. To him, humans were simply that, humans. They either worked for him or they were against him.
His small army of 6,000 werewolves became a group he named the Fangs of Fenrir. They wore symbols of wolves and they used wolves as attack dogs. Of course, they were in reality werewolves that served Jack's wishes.
As much as Jack wanted more of them, the death rate was still extremely high even for the second generation so his army was still slightly small. His army kept the order and guarded Jack's buinssess against white supremacists and as the cops were paid off allowed it.
All over New York and the surrounding states more of Jack's companies were owned by his 1st generation werewolves like his Steel, gun, bullet, and even his sale of wolves as well. At the moment Jack was easily one of the richest men in America, but it was time for the expected.
Currently, Jack was standing in front of his entire army in the name of a meeting. Over 6,000 werewolves all gathered before him while his 10, 1st generation stood behind him. They all gazed at their master with admiration and respect. His power never ceased to amaze them.
Among the huge groups, many of the werewolves in their human forms held chained with large wolves. Some were the pups of Jack's pets and some were simply caught and bred.
OF course, his pets were here as well all sitting at his side with Dante the Raven on his shoulder perched and looking at all the werewolves down there.
All the werewolves were varied as some were black, white, Asian, Mexican, European as well as he took the ones who survived and turned them from weaklings to a proper army.
"No need to introduce myself as you all know it already. In the last 13 years, we have grown in power not only in number but power. As my companies grow so does our influence. As you all know we are staying in the north for good reason."
Many of the blacks nodded as the South already hated Jack for the fact he was allowing minorities to work along with whites and paid them the same. As slavery was still a thing many of his werewolves wanted to free slaves in the south.
He allowed this in moderation. Some of the werewolves in the pack were in fact former slaves that were freed and turned. As such, their loyalty served him as long as their families were safe. It turned out werewolves could breed with humans and many had children.
"Well now that the Mexicans are starting to start trouble over that Texas is joining our union means war is on the horizon. Which means what exactly?"
"OPPORTUNITY!"
"Good as you know we have a contract with the U.S military as they buy my musket's in bulk soon when the war begins they will be buying like crazy. As soon as the war start's my servants in the army will put in the good word for us. Any reports."
From behind a sharp-dressed tall black man spoke up.
"Well, my company Hall and Steel has been doing well. The price of our steel is cheap so the demand is high Of course it has brought more attention and some of the crackers are starting trouble again."
All of the werewolves laughed at that as they already brought down several riots started by the white supremacists. Jack planned to destroy the KKK when it started as he saw it as pointless. Anything that bothered him would be destroyed and the clan annoyed him.
A beautiful Russian woman spoke in a heavy accent.
"Da, I concur. Our textile buinssess is going through well. Your plan to hire women for this really pissed off a lot of Svo-lach(Cunts), but we dealt with them."
A few more reports and Jack gave off a few orders. The ones in charge of the guns were told to deploy the new cannons and guns that had been prepared for this. Of course, the Mexican-American war was fairly short, but money is money.
"Dismissed."
All the werewolves left the meeting hall and as they all were better than bloodhounds no one could fake being one. Which meant no spies to hear Jack's plan. As for the 10 leader's they all followed Jack as they talked about more businesses they owned.
Jack found that he really enjoyed the business aspect of things. Seeing the money rolling in and making new ways to make more was fun. In the next couple of years, Jack was preparing to take Wakanda, but he was wanted as few casualties as he could.
Of course, it was time to go to see his less-than-ethical experiments. Of course, very few things Jack Conner did were ethical, but his werewolves could careless.
