The dark mages halted their attacks, their eyes wide with awe and madness. They turned their attention entirely to the tear in space, their voices rising in ecstatic praise as they chanted in an ancient, forgotten tongue. Their words were incomprehensible, but the intent was clear—they were welcoming whatever horrors they had summoned.

From the tear, five creatures began to emerge. Tall and gaunt, they were wreathed in darkness, their forms barely distinguishable from the shadows that clung to them. Their eyes glowed an eerie red light, and they moved with an unnatural silence. Their wings, vast and spectral, unfurled as they floated above the ground, their razor-sharp claws glinting ominously in the dim light. In their hands, they gripped spears made of the same shadowy substance as their bodies, crackling with dark energy.
