The events played out in nearly the same manner as the masked man had pointed out to Kral, Liria, Kevin, and Bia in the next couple of days, as the tense atmosphere in the city was at an all-time high before the abrupt announcement of the next city lord.

The announcement took everyone by surprise, be it the populace, city guards, or Arcane Academy students who were waiting for Raon as he hadn't arrived yet.

Slowly but surely, the public calmed down as official announcements were being made, and the new city lord's name was also revealed to be Kral Ririos.

That wasn't all. To get public favor in one direction, Liria and Kevin, who were deemed saviors, gave accounts of how Kral had uncovered the evil scheme and guided them through it.

It was a fable. Blatant lie.

But would the public go into that many details? It was politics after all, and the public would support the 'Hero' without even verifying anything, just like usual.
