Bab 127: The Quiet Discussion

The rain drummed steadily against the carriage, a soothing backdrop as Rache sat beside her sleeping charges, Darry and the boy from the town.

She took some deep breaths, letting the calming ambiance take over for a while as they drove down the bumpy path of the road back to Sidera.

It wouldn't be too long now, given how much they already traveled on this road thus far.

Still, the distance from the capital to Druimshad - that was, apparently, the name of the city which had been destroyed, she heard it mentioned in passing by one of the men - and Gypsditch was considerable, just as Donncahd had mentioned even before they'd crossed the mountain.

In part, it seemed to her that it was likely due to how winding the road was.

Her lips pursed and she pushed the thin curtain blocking the window of the carriage aside so she could look out at the dimly lit wilderness around them.
