The Lords stayed in the wolf realm for the conclave. On the other side, Xavier failed to recover from the trauma of my considering the prospect of him losing and making such a proposition. He stayed mad at me for days.

"Why are you being like this, My Lord?" I desperately asked as Xavier continued to act like a cocoon, getting wrapped up inside the blanket.

"Please, get up! You can't stay here forever, ignoring the guests like this," I said again, attempting to remove the blanket.

Xavier hadn't greeted the guests for days. He skipped the royal court for the first time after we got married. I felt a sense of guilt building up inside me.

"I feel humiliated, Alessandra," the cocoon said.
