Through the window, the white-coated land seemed like an endless feast of dessert. Iced milk, powdered sugar, or never-ending ice cream. It looked sweet and delicious. If one jumped at the center of the pile of snow, how deep would they sink?

Sitting on Ian's lap, the baby wolf raised his body to peek outside, gape, and gasp at the twinkling blanket of the world. His tiny paws stretched the glass, yet no attempt to run out to play was made. The slight chill oozing through the gaps of the wooden carriage was alarming enough to stop him from leaving the warmth of his master. Also, he didn't want to sense the bone-cracking chill he experienced the last time he jumped at a pile of snow with his bare paws.
