Bab 247: Just another experiment

The rain continued pouring outside the gas station, making temperatures drop several degrees within an hour. Guzman and the others sealed the shattered glass doors and windows with wooden planks and plugged the holes in the walls as best as they could. The building was on its last legs now, but it was the only shelter they had for the night.

As the night grew unruly, dark thoughts clouded Kevin's mind. He tossed and turned inside his sleeping bag, wrestling with his old memories. As his system's power level dropped below twenty, his AI went into hibernation mode, letting his repressed thoughts run wild.

In his dreams, Kevin found himself revisiting his past. He was back in that same classroom with his nine-year-old self sitting at a desk. But this time, the little boy was all alone in the room, reading something on his tab.
