Bab 50: A Cosmic System

Nesrin entered the room and locked her gates, but as soon as she turned, she was met with a pair of glassy golden eyes that stared right back at her.

A girl of about ten stood too close to her, and hovered above until she was almost as tall as Nesrin. There was a streak of silver line that ran down her forehead and down across her right eye, it turned left to her ears

"I am Asteria," she whispered.

Nesrin had no chance to react when Asteria glided slightly back with a giggle and pulled out a silver dragon from thin air. 

The blade grazed her hair as Nesrin barely dodged it. Her heart lurched when the next blade almost stabbed her.

Her mind was thinking through several possibilities as she tried to defend herself. Who could this girl be? Levitation was a rare magic in this world, and humans seldom had that power.

Nesrin somehow managed to capture the girl.

"Are you a fairy?" she asked while panting.
