Chapter 62: "Praise from the Protectors"
In the grand hall of the town hall, G, the bodyguard of High Lord Mayor Barry Green, approached Kai and Zach with a nod of respect.
"You two brothers did a good job out there," G said, his deep voice filled with praise. Keep up the good work . Your bond is strong, and it shows in your fighting style. You work together seamlessly, like two parts of a whole."
Kai and Zach smiled, feeling a sense of pride and camaraderie. They had always been close as brothers, but their adventures together had brought them even closer.
G continued, "I've been a bodyguard for a long time, and I know what it takes to be a great team. You two have it. Keep it up, and you'll go far."
With that, G nodded and returned to his post, leaving the brothers to bask in the glow of their hard-won victory. They spent the rest of the evening enjoying the celebration, but eventually, they decided to head back to the inn to get some well-deserved rest.
As they settled into their room, Zach turned to Kai with a smile. "You know, bro, we make a pretty good team."
Kai nodded, already drifting off to sleep. "Yeah, we do."
