Bab 2: Marriage proposal

Suspended?!
Olivia thought it was all over, it just got suspended, and she started to worry about what else the system wanted her to do again.
And then, here Olivia was, in her father's office with her life already in the air. Staring at the trusted system window, only she could see it. She forgot what she said to her father until Alan looked so happy and kept smiling, and her eyes sparkled with gratitude.
Sitting with both hands floundering limply helplessly, her back leaned against the back of the chair. Her eyes stared at the ceiling of her father's room, starting to count the seconds when Jeremy would come again. She told her father to accept this marriage, even though she had already balked at this.
She remembered how she hated having Jeremy by her father's side and how he was being overprotective of Olivia. Her small face, curly eyelashes, and beautiful eye color inherited from her mother are so beautiful with a perfect small sharp nose and thick red lips without needing to be polished with any red lipstick.
That's sexy. Moreover, her body is full enough to attract many men who like sexy things. Olivia is the choice of most men who want something wild to stare at Olivia's plump body.
"Sir, Mr. Jeremy has come." Someone said outside Alan's office door.
Hearing this, Olivia immediately straightened her back, and this feeling brought her life back into her body. Her heart was beating wildly, and she felt restless, waiting for someone to enter her father's room. Olivia looked at the floor beneath her feet without looking up, and she was too embarrassed even to remember the rejection she made in front of Jeremy.
A tall man with slender legs is wrapped in black pants, a white shirt with black stripes, and a tie still covers his body. The man had just come home from work and was again called. Luckily, he had just arrived in front of the main gate of Alan's luxury residence, but the scent of his perfume that Olivia knew by heart still wafted from his body when the man sat beside her.
"Sit by Olivia's side, Jeremy. Sorry to make you have to come back in such a hurry to the house. I'm just feeling excellent about all of this."
Olivia swallowed hard when she heard her father's words, embarrassed and uneasy to wrap herself with guilt if she had not trusted her friend, who was like a venomous snake. Maybe the end of her life and her father would not be so sad, especially since Jeremy turned out to be a very good person.
"No, sir. I'm not that busy either, and I have to finish the final stages before meeting with the board of directors." Said a deep voice at his side that sounded so soft.
Olivia was even stunned. She just realized that Jeremy's voice sounded so heavy but had a softness in every note of his words. From what Olivia remembers, Jeremy respects her father as highly as her parents. Jeremy is an orphan, but actually, Alan knows Jeremy's parents.
Fifteen years ago, Jeremy's father saved Olivia from a crash, followed by Jeremy's mother, who fell ill because of the news about her husband. At that time, Alan thought that he had given the money for Jeremy's life to the family from his father's side to Jeremy. But Alan meets Jeremy at the orphanage he goes to, an orphanage where he takes his daughter to play and gives donations without the business public knowing.
His paternal family abandoned Jeremy and took the money Alan gave him somewhere. Alan feels guilty for the unfortunate incident that happened to Jeremy at the age of fifteen and takes him as an adopted child, with the hidden intention that in the future, Jeremy can take care of his only daughter when he leaves this world forever.
"So, what do you want to tell me?"
"Ha ha ha! You're always to the point, and you can't help but keep up with this lonely older man. Alright…" Her father took a deep breath sounding very happy compared to Olivia, who had gone pale when she heard her father speak. "Olivia accepts your marriage proposal, and I wish you to prepare this wedding quickly and lavishly. Because only Olivia, the daughter that father has. With this, complete the life of the father before retirement. You've made the board of directors believe you deserve the position, but it's like I said. 70% of what you're doing right now, I've passed on to Olivia because it's still there. I can't believe you until you prove that you love Olivia."
At length, her father spoke. Olivia only caught one odd sentence. 'Accept your marriage proposal.'
So actually, it's not an arranged marriage or anything. But it was Jeremy who proposed to her father, but her father never said this was a proposal. Her father only said that Olivia would marry Jeremy as if this was an arranged marriage. So it's only natural that she balked at that in the past, please.

But then she heard Jeremy's resounding voice answer. Olivia was even more astonished, isn't she believe it?
"Thank god, I might become an old virgin, sir, if your daughter doesn't accept my proposal." Jeremy's voice with a humorous tone.

The man just smiled before then went back to talking to her father.
"If I could, I would immediately propose and marry Olivia next month."
Alan, who heard Jeremy's impatience, laughed, the older man looked delighted, and Olivia suddenly felt sad, remembering the last time her father died of a heart attack. It happened because of his fault as well, if it had not slandered Jeremy, perhaps the company would not have gone bankrupt, and his father would still be alive. Olivia then got up and immediately got up and hugged her father.
