Bab 45: Face Slap For The Jerk
Yang Tianyou, the middle-aged man and the woman in the wheelchair looked at each other with panic. They were quite unsettled by the situation.
The middle-aged man turned to the head officer and smiled carefully, "Comrade, you've caught the wrong people. We are the victims. If you don't believe me, you can give Chief Zhou from your district a phone call. I'm really close to him..."
"Enough with your nonsense!" the head officer glared at the man as the two officers beside him quickly pinned the middle-aged man to the ground.
The man immediately cried out, "We're innocent. We didn't do anything. We simply came to get justice. Why are you restraining us, do you have a misunderstanding...?"
"Misunderstanding? Misunderstanding my *ss. You bunch of grown men are causing trouble instead of doing something decent with your time, what an embarrassment to all men. My biggest pet peeve is seeing useless men like you!" the head officer, Mi Zhangyi furrowed his brows as he patted the man on the cheek with disdain.
"Chief Zhou from your district is a relative of mine. We are..." The middle-aged man tried to use his connections, but the head officer quickly cut him off, "Even if you know our chief, it's no use!"
After hearing this, the man was both frightened and flustered. Who was this police officer? How could he view the police chief with no regard?
The man then complained to Mi Zhangyi, "But, comrade, we are the real victims in this situation. This clinic hurt someone. Look at my wife, she's weak and powerless; she can't even stand up!"
By this time, Yang Tianyou's arrogance had disappeared. So, he bowed at Mi Zhangyi and said, "That's right, the clinic hurt someone with their treatment. But, we considered our actions before we did anything. If they had apologized and promised to never harm people again, everything would have already been resolved. Yang Tianyou said as he pointed at Fang Zhihan.
Fang Zhihan looked at the man coldly.
His icy gaze was dangerous like a leopard that was ready to swallow its prey alive. It sent chills down Yang Tianyou's spine.
"You sure have guts. Do you know what death looks like?" Mi Zhangyi asked coldly.
Yang Tianyou: "..."
Did he say something wrong? He was being honest and his tone expressed his pain. Were these uniformed men working for money just like him?
Yu Gangan raised her elegant eyebrows slightly and walked forward, "You claim that our clinic hurt this woman and that she's so weak that she can't even stand up, but why won't you let me check her pulse? Chinese medicine relies on four methods for diagnosis: look, listen, question and pulse. We look at a patient's complexion, listen to sounds, ask for symptoms and check their pulse. Even if you refuse to let me check this auntie's pulse, I can still tell that she is fine by asking her a few questions."
The middle-aged man's neck turned red as he yelled loudly, "Just because you say she's fine, are your words final? You are a quack; a killer! How could we trust you to check her pulse?"
Yu Gangan smirked coldly, "Fine, I won't check her pulse if you won't let me. We can call another doctor right now. If there's actually something wrong with her, I will take full responsibility and cure her no matter who previously treated her, but if she's fine, you will have to compensate double for Yueming Hall's losses today."
