Roman pulled out the seed from his inventory, his hand closing around it as if it was a precious treasure.

The seed pulsed with energy, glowing with an otherworldly light that seemed to sear itself into Roman's retina. He couldn't exactly see what the seed looked like, its form blurry and indistinct, but he could feel its power coursing through him like a river of fire.

Xylara stared at the seed, her eyes narrowing as if she was trying to see into its very soul. Then, she focused back on guarding, her gaze scanning the surrounding area with a fierce intensity.

As if sensing the seed's energy, shadows began materializing among them, their dark forms twisting and writhing like living things.

But one thing shook them, and that was how fast Xylara moved. Roman had forgotten that she was stronger than him, her physical prowess unmatched.
