Bab 1364: None of Them are Weaklings

Immediately, just as the power threatened to engulf Xander Lastor, a firm hand reached out from behind him, seizing his shoulder and yanking him back forcefully.

Xander let out a breath and turned to face Jaromir Neal.

"This elder is eons ahead of us. It's a feat for him to have brought the battle this far," Jaromir remarked casually.

Cassian Lavoie gripped his spear tightly, brimming with determination. 

"Now it's my turn. Let's see how wicked your primordial chaos energy truly is!"

With those words, he thrust his spear forward, its momentum intent on annihilation. 

But the young man in the Daoist robe swiftly countered, his hands tracing invisible patterns, directing the spear's trajectory.

"What trickery is this?" Cassian grunted, struggling against the Daoist-robed figure's control over his weapon.

"The power of paths," the Daoist-robed figure replied, his smile warm but firm.
