(My pov): time: 12:52 a.m.
Vacation was over, and the Autobots & I went back to their normal duties and missions, in return they thanked me for showing them how much they had enjoyed, the fun and crazy moments we had together and that next time, they will leave me in charge for the next holiday human stuff; Not only that but, Sideswipe & I became best friends along with Mudflaps & Skids, I was accustomed by not being welcomed in the past, but now, I was excited and joyful. "Man, those memories are forever cherished. Sadly, I have to go." I said to myself, closing my duffel bag and carrying it over my shoulder before quietly leaving my guest room of the base as I sneakily took out my scanners to check where Mirage was, in hopes he doesn't catch me leaving.
Wondering about where I am going, is the same reason why I'm packing again, only this time, it was a secret mission that I promised myself, remember one of those moments in every action movie when they say "We're doing the right thing" well, this is what I'm feeling right now, and to do is I need to rent a car because looking for a famous Autobot front-liner will be a hard case scenario. Anyhow, I finished scanning and spotted Mirage with the invisible scanner as he begins going back to his room and closing it, 'thank you James Bond movies for teaching me how to steal an invisibility scanner from Ironhide. This is sure helpful!' But there was no time to congratulate me, I need to get out right away and by that, I'll need to make a permission slip to leave. Yes, I decided to go to Ms. Mearing's office, I pray to primus that I don't get killed by her attitude, I knocked on her door before hearing a 'come in' and entered by closing the door: "Ms. Mearing?" "That is me, who are you?"
"Oh, my name is Amelia Victoria Lightwood, ma'am," I spoke with a fake last name before Mearing noticed that I held a duffel bag over my shoulder: "Ah, the new girl, I see. She continues, "May I ask what are you trying to do here? Talk as a distraction?" "No, ms. Mearing. I am an honest woman, my mother taught me to always tell the truth. Also, I was simply getting ready for bed until I wanted to ask for your permission on something." I waited for her to let me continue she waved her hand by motioning me to continue and I paused then came up with a great lie, hoping it will work as I took out a paper and handed it to her: "You see, I just got a call from my mother that I was needed back home a-and it's urgent, look I print out and made a permission slip for you to sign, See?" Watching Mearing put on her glasses, she starts reading it as I felt itchy to leave right now but, I had to control my nervousness in order to make the lie work. "4 days, correct?" "Yes, Ms. Mearing." She hummed with a hint of annoyance.
Trying my best not to scream myself, I averted my eyes away from her by eyeing the pictures of her awards, her diploma, and many others until, all of a sudden, my body froze when I realized that she was standing in front of me. With my permission slip in her hand, shows it to my face before I began to feel defeated when unexpectedly, Mearing hold my hand and placed my permission slip back to me, to my surprise, she signed it: "Y-You s-signed it? But I thought-" "You thought I was going to decline that permission slip? No, I understand you are stressed and I can read you like a book, you wanted it as a secret just like it says here, personal urgency at home? I know that feeling so, get out." "With all due resp-" "Go, ms. Lightwood. Before I change my mind."
I smiled brightly and hugged her, saying many thank you's to her which made her stunned and smile and before I ran out of the office, Ms. Mearing had nothing to say. I headed out of the base, without a goodbye and went to the next bus station 4 blocks away and made it in by saying: "Rent a car shop please." With that, I sat down with the duffel bag on my lap and began to drink a bottle of cold water.
