Bab 148: Don't Leave So Soon!

'Damn he's fast!'

Night Shade's frustration grew. He had been forced to make a desperate escape, utilizing the rare and expensive small teleportation magic scroll, an item given to him by the Cadogan Clan higher-ups. It was his last-ditch effort to evade August's relentless pursuit and assault and regain control over the situation. 

But the cost was high, both in terms of the valuable magical resource he had expended and the sacrifice of a loyal clan member, Mehana, who he had to use as a meat shield to buy him time to escape.

Despite the humiliation of his retreat from an elite apprentice sorcerer whiles being a higher-levelled pseudo-sorcerer, Night Shade refused to let it consume him. He had to counterattack! 

And he had just the idea for it, a counteroffensive that could turn the tide of the battle.
