Bab 62: Traveling Home

"It's... surprisingly beautiful."

Adeline was a bit in awe of the sight before her— the manor she called home for all 21 years of her life, was on fire. Alaric had, somehow, surrounded the entire thing in formations that caused fires in the span of 20 minutes.

Currently, Alaric was looking at Adeline a bit confused.

'Arson is beautiful? Are you okay?'

Of course, while she seemed easy to talk to, Alaric wouldn't say that to her face. Adeline was a peak rank-4 existence after all.

Forcing himself out of his thoughts, because he too was beginning to think the manor's burning visage was beautiful, especially with the contrast between it and the night sky, Alaric questioned, "Are you sure this is fine? Any family or friends in there?"

"No, my family and the maids have all been sacrificed," Adeline responded, her voice not as broken as before.

"Then, let's leave quickly. The Rila city guards will be here any second!"
