Édouard sat on the chaise in anger with one leg over the other. He pinched the skin between his eyebrows and his eyes were closed. Charlotte sat next to him.
"Édouard, I told you not to be angry at your father," Charlotte said.
He opened his eyes and tilted his head to look at her. "He always does this. I could never understand him," Édouard said with annoyance.
"Your mother is such a nice woman. You are lucky to have such a mother," Charlotte changed the topic of their conversation.
"Indeed, I am lucky to have her as my mother. She understands me well," Édouard said with a tiny smile. "I told you because of her I was in the palace, but as I grew up, I wanted to be away from that toxic place. I wish Mother would have agreed to live with us in Wexnon, Charlotte," he expressed his desire.
