CHAPTER 72

An eight-year-old girl was sitting on her study table in her own room, doodling something on the paper. There was a grin on her face while she was moving her little hands, trying to be creative.

Melicia, the girl's mother, was about to prepare dinner downstairs. Her husband would get home at 6:00 pm from work. She was in the kitchen. She reached for her apron, but before she could get it on, the sound of their doorbell startled her.

"Gosh!" Her hand was on her chest. She put down the apron at the back of the chair and proceeded to the living room to get to the door. She glanced at the wall clock. It was only 5:30 pm. Her husband usually gets home mostly around 6:10. 'Who could it be?'

Before she got to the door, she approached the window and took a peek outside. She saw a white car across the street. In front of the neighbor's yard. She was very familiar with that coup.
