After his failed attempt at escape, Eric felt darn tired. The moment he laid down on the tatami mat his eyes fell close, lulling him into a deep dreamless sleep.

"Scratch… scratch...scratch…."

Eric slightly rolled to the side, hiding his face in the thick blanket.

"Scratch, scratch, scratch…"

the scratching sound continued.

He tossed and turned until he finally woke up.

"What the heck is making that noise!" he shot up.

A dark figure sat on top of him scratching the small piece of mirror in his hand.

Eric froze. he immediately crawled back, leaning against the wall in shock. " What the fuck! Who is this person? Why did he crawl in at night?"

The figure looked quite small to be that monk. It was obviously someone else.
