CHAPTER 31

Danny’s heart raced. He’d been walking awhile now, and he stumbled as a loud clanging followed by a terrible crash rang through the forest. He scurried to the large clearing ahead, and the sight made his jaw drop. People—or fae, he thought—and wild beasts were throwing blows at one another with steel weaponry and magic. Some needed neither and attacked with claw and bone.
