Bab 8: Chapter Seven
You all turned to her ready to listen to what she had to say. "What about we do some karaoke ?" She said. Tony nodded ." I'll go get the machine." He said and left. "what a great idea sister Natasha. I love Karaoke." Thor said with delight. " What's karaoke ?" I asked confused. Everyone turned to me, it seemed like they forgot that I was there. Natasha began to explain and Tony came back with some sort of machine along with a weird rectangular thing. He plugged it into the wall which only made me more confused but I didn't ask what he was doing. I nodded to what Natasha said right after she ended. " Oh, so you sing ?" I ask with a smile " I love singing" I say. Natasha nodded with a smile. When Tony finished setting everything up. He pushed a button on a rectangular device. And a light streamed out from a thing on the wall. It was also rectangular. Like everything else around here. Thor went first because he was the most excited. And sorry to say he didn't have much of a singing voice but it made us all smile. Of course, Loki cringed in the corner. Clint said he doesn't sing. Which let Bruce Go next his voice was surprisingly gentle. And then Natasha went putting an amazing show. Next was Tony who also went with a lot of flares. Making everyone clap. Steve was too shy to sing. And Loki refused. All who was left was me. I stood up and stood in the middle as everyone did before. Natasha showed me how to choose a song and then left me alone. I scrolled past a few until something caught my eye. Lana Del Rey - video games. I pushed the button and put the device down. I turned to the brightly lit rectangular device on the wall.
I took a deep breath in and when the lyrics began to show on the screen and the background music back to play. I began to sing. I raised my voice at certain moments and say with my entire heart. And a few minutes the song was done. When the song came to an end I sighed. I turned back around back to everyone else who just sat there in silence. It wasn't like with the others where they would clap after. " Did I sing badly ?" I asked looking around the room. "badly? You made us all look like idiots. " Tony said. My brows furrowed in confusion. " What do you mean?" I asked. " He means that you sang perfectly" I heard Loki who stood by my side with a small smile. His hand caressed my cheek and I could feel the cold again coming from him. "Really?" I asked a bit bashful. He chuckled " yes I mean it." I smiled. " Well, I'm not singing another song. " Tony said annoyed. " Can I sing another one ?" I asked excitement in my eyes. "Knock yourself out," Tony said before standing up and going to the bar. I quickly got the device and again and scrolled through. I found one. " Gangsta by Kehlani," I said out loud to myself. Before using the song. I turned to the screen. The singing device in hand began to sing.
Everyone else's pov
The rest of the Avengers followed Tony to the bar. The song began off gently and Aphrodite began to sing the lyrics. They all turned their attention back to her wide-eyed. She was standing completely still. Steve's face had turned red. The only one who still sat on the couches was Loki who was watching Aphrodite. When the song was done was still sawing slightly to the music. "How exactly did she become Loki's servant?" Steve asked still surprised about the whole thing. "Well Loki needed a servant and she needed a place to stay so father saw an opportunity," Thor said with a shrug. "Or your father wanted a wife for Loki," Clint said. Thor nearly spit out his drink and was about to say something but was cut off by Aphrodite. " Oh, I didn't expect that," Aphrodite said with a smile and a blush. She walked up to the bar and asked for a drink. Tony handed her a strawberry daiquiri. She sipped on it before going to Loki and chatting excitedly." Father wouldn't do that and Lady Aphrodite would never be interested in my brother." Thor said but sounded unsure. " I don't know she does seem very close to Loki," Tony said nodding his head toward the pair. They all looked over at the dark brown-haired woman who was chatting excitedly with Loki. Her hand was placed gently on his arm and they were only centimeters apart. " Well, she is the goddess of love." He said "She does come off as flirtatious. They said she was the most beautiful of all goddesses." He said with a shrug and a nervous chuckle but looked over at them with worry. "or she has the hots for Loki" Clint said. " Well if they do wed I will gladly support their marriage," Thor said proudly. They all nodded but didn't seem to believe him. "I don't know how any woman could be interested in Loki," Bruce said, "You'd be surprised. Loki was very popular among women and they would swoon over him. That was until they met me" He said standing proudly. They all chuckled at his words and Tony rolled his eyes." I still can't believe that person over there was mostly known for sex" Clint said. " she is so innocent looking" He added. "That's what lures most men in," Bruce said with a smile. "Never trust the calm sea when she shows her false alluring smile" He added. They all nodded at his words. "What if they do become a couple?" Tony asked. "I ship them even if Loki is somewhat of an ass," Natasha said. "The god of mischief and the goddess of love. That seems like an interesting pair." Clint added.
