Kiara Hoffman's POV
My breaths quickened as I was looking at him. He was not kidding as he told me that. I think my heart pounded loudly across my chess. I hoped he will not listen to it.
"So, what do you say?" He asked. I jerked my eyes to his face as I was looking at the table.
"What will you do now?" He asked. I blinked a few times before I took a deep breath.
"I think the best course of action was to get out of here and see where it leads us," I said as I was squeezing his hand. He smirked at me before he signaled for our check. I don't know about him but I think my eyes were getting bigger as he gave his credit card and his heated gaze was on me. I felt like a virgin.
And that's because I was.
"Thank you for dining with us," the server said as Charles signed the check and handed it to him.
