Bab 50: Never Say Never.

"No, you didn't!" Joan exclaimed with uncontrollable laughter as she drove while listening to Bella narrate how she had hit her boss mistakenly while sleeping.

"I did. You know, for a moment there, I actually thought he was going to hit me back," Bella said with a grin as she looked out of the window. She wasn't going to admit to anyone that she had actually been glad she hit him. 

"There is no way Dan Williams would hit a lady," Joan assured her confidently. 

"Well, he wouldn't have known he was hitting one, now would he?" Bella asked, making Joan glance at her briefly before returning her attention to the road. 

"Tell me something. You really don't like him? Not a tiny weeny bit?" Joan asked. 

"No, I don't. It annoys me even more, knowing that every other person I know idolises him, yet I don't see anything special about him," Bella said with a scowl.
