CHAPTER 43 - Unruly Scarlet

King Blaze inquired of his wife but her silence was all that he got.

Diamonique on the other hand hated how much of a fool Scarlet had made her look.

"Answer me when I speak," King Blaze scolded.

"Yes."

"Why?"

"It was for her own good. I never knew she would do something like this."

"Never knew or you were deliberately trying to kill my child?" He asked coldly, making sure all of his displeasure was written on his face.

"I would never do such a thing. She is my daughter too," Diamonique defended.

"And yet you had the effrontery to…"

"I was just trying to teach her a lesson," Queen Diamonique blurted out without thinking, interrupting the king in hopes that the matter would die.

"Lesson?!" He bellowed, making Scarlet's smile deepen. "Have I warned you about this or not?"

"You have."

"And…?"
