Her brows knitted a bit in confusion but when she heard his next choice of words, it took her breath away.

"I'd probably be shocked too if I were in your shoes but I hope you got all I said. I won't…"

Before Zale finished his words, Pearl recalled what he said about not repeating himself and turned in his arm and glared at him. 

"Don't you dare say you won't ever say that," she threatened.

"Pearl."

"How is that something you should say? If I mean a lot to you, you should always say it to me. Always reassure me," she said with a pout and held onto his shoulders as she straddled him. 

Zale sucked in a deep breath while controlling his mind and thoughts. 

With her newly found position, she forgot herself and crossed her arms in front of her chest, waiting for him to go against her.

"Perfect for you to say this. How about you?"

"Me?"
