CHAPTER 53 – Are You Scared?

He moved fast, catching her body in his arms before she fell to the ground. 

"Pearl." 

Zale's brows creased. At this point, words failed him on how he was going to react and handle her. 

As much as he could let her sleep and change to his true form, she had seen him and he knew better than anyone that there was no hiding anymore. 

Pearl was also a very curious and observant person. There was no way he could deny and call this a trick of the light.

He exhaled sharply and watched her from the corners of his eyes. Even in her sleep, she looked extremely beautiful.

'Get your mind focused, Zale. Now is not the time.' He scolded internally. 

Taking matters into his hands, he pressed her body against his chest and lifted his right hand above her. 

As great as it was to let her sleep, now was not the time to do it. She needed to wake up, so they could leave this place.
