Bab 79: Leaving Him

AJ snapped his eyes open, breaking away from the thoughts of the past when he heard a whine at the door. Looking at the time, it was three am and Amy had yet to return. Opening the door, he let the large dog in, hoping against hope that Amy had returned. 

The dog sniffed around, searching for Amy before it lay down lazily near the bed, probably waiting for Amy to return as well. Rubbing his head, he called the guards whom he'd asked to follow her, to question them about Amy's whereabouts. 

"Sir, Lady Amelia went with Princess Emilia towards the staff quarters at the back and then they went into an empty quarter. They haven't come back from there and no one has gone in." The guard reported diligently.
