Bab 50: In His Home

Jace laid Elsie on Jasmine's bed, then spread the thick cream-colored blanket up to the girl's chin. Elsie's breathing was slow and rhythmic. His body twitched a little, as if trying to adapt to the new circumstances around him, though he kept his eyes closed and asleep.

    Taking a good look at the girl's face, Jace's brow furrowed in surprise. His mind is at war with itself. Various basic questions were thrown and bounced on the walls of his skull.

You shouldn't have done something so stupid, Jace. Jace pinched the bridge of his nose. What am I doing? The feeling is like being tossed around on an ark.

Not long after, Jasmine appeared carrying a few pieces of her clothes while throwing sharp glances at Jace who was still transfixed.
