"Elsie, don't be silly. They accept you as you are. Back when I saved you from the pool, my parents praised my actions, not cornered me for helping my family's rival child." Jace chuckled. "After all, Thomas was once a close friend of my grandfather. They respect that." Not long after, the waiter came with the menu we ordered. I paid less attention to the food in front of me, instead keeping my eyes straight ahead. Jace mumbled a word of thanks before continuing, "And… if our family gets back to the way it used to be, I think we can make a lot of profit."
I started to eat the food in front of me, even though my mind wandered around the space-time. Thinking about Jace's request again. Until finally my daydream was broken when my hands felt itchy. I lifted the sleeve of my jacket, finding faint red rashes. My mouth opened wide, immediately checking what food I ate at the moment.
"What's this?" I asked, rubbing my itchy hand.
