Bab 104: Pomp and Circumstance

Similar to six months prior, the first phase of the Duelist League Tryouts was evaluating everyone's Mana, Aura, and striking power against a large black obelisk. These scores were technically valid for a full year, but since it was an opportunity to show off to potential sponsors and demonstrate their growth over the previous semester, most chose to step up and have their values updated.

Unfortunately for Will, he was called out by name and required to step up before anyone else. Previously, his aggregate Mana and Aura score was 698, with a striking power of 9,660, so both the Coach, who Will had come to know as Ohd Moldoveanu, and the crowd were confused when his first value was recorded at 518. The true value was presumably somewhere in the low 700s, but due to his contract with Finnoadh, approximately thirty percent of his collective Mana and Aura went to sustaining her.
