Bab 41: Chapter 40 - The Devil's Den (2)
All the knight start to walk out of the barrack, people near the castle had their face shocked looking at so many knights went outside from the barracks all at the same time while having plate armor all over themself. In the midst of people, there is a view adventurer party waiting for the knights. The knights lead by Sheila Rakshana The 3rd Division Captain, Rodney Baylend The 3rd Division Vice-Captain, Damnatio Leoparte The 4th Division Captain, and last but not least Nolan Bolevante The 4th Division Vice-Captain.
Though amidst the crowd of people, there is someone that Sheila seems familiar with. As a brown hair elf wave at her, Sheila face goes from serious to cheerful.
Sheila gasp "IS THAT YOU CLARA?!"
It seems amidst the party member from Mastadonte Guild is someone Sheila knew. Clara with her party member stood still on the side of the knights path. Clara and Sheila hug each other cheerfully and happily like they are a best friend that haven't met in many years.
"It's so good to see you Shel!"
"It's good to see you too Clara!"
All the other knight weirdly stare at Sheila and Clara reunion. Rodney initiate by himself and went over to Sheila and tap her shoulder.
"Umm.. Captain... May we know who she is?"
"Oh! Let me introduce her, she is Clara Lavender Elfant. She is my party leader back when I was very young and still an adventurer!"
"Hello everyone!" Clara said as she wave at everyone, as everyone start to blush.
As everyone seems to fall for her, 4 people behind her menacingly exude their aura with an intent to kill as everyone shiver down their spine. Clara and Sheila turn around to see 4 of Clara party member just smiling innocently. Sheila went over to the other as she hug each one.
"It's good to meet you again everyone, Hilda, Freya, Short old man, and Lyron!"
"Hahah! It's good to see y- WAIT WHAT?!" Thorak said as he seems to get annoyed by it.
"Alright, alright. I'm sorry Thorak haha!"
"Damn right ma name is Thorak Jhumbler kid!"
The vibe turn quite nicely as everyone else the knights and the other adventurer forget the danger they are about to charge in. Damnatio went in between Sheila and Clara, and take Clara hand.
"Oh my dear lady! May I take this beautiful hand and face into a dinner?"
Clara flattered looking at Damnatio asking her on a date. But from behind Sheila slap Damnatio on the head and made his face fall to the ground.
"GET OFF OF HER!"
Nolan just looks at his captain on the ground shaking as a red hand can be seen by everyone on his face. Damnatio gets up slowly as Sheila about to slap him again, but Clara stop her.
"Alright, alright! Let's go do the dungeon raid now, I'm sure everyone here have something to do afterward!"
The knights start to nods agreed with Clara statement, as they all proceed to walk out of the castle and went to the mountain on the east. As they all arrive at the destination, 3 people with hood over their face awaits all of them.
"Welcome, The kingdom knights and Mastadonte Guild!" The 3 hooded people bow down to them.
"So, you all must be from the Black Cat guild correct?"
"Yes, 3rd Division Captain. We are from the Black Cat guild and we'll called for reinforcement if something bad happen!"
The hooded figure open his hand as 4 ring can be seen in his palm. The hooded figure give the ring to Sheila, Rodney, Damnatio and Nolan.
"This is The Astral Connection Ring, where if you are in critical condition, the ring would turn red on my arm." As he show his left hand with 4 rings in each finger.
"Wow, this is convenient" Damnatio said genuinely surprise looking at the ring nicely fit his style.
"Well, it's basically a ring that connect your emotion with the ring. It'll change the color depend on your emotion, though I especially made it that the ring glows red when you are in critical condition."
"Alright sounds good enough" Sheila said as she turn around looking at the army behind her.
Everyone start to murmur between one another. While the adventurer set up some sort of camp site on the side of the cave entrance. Clara party went to also set up a camp, as she went over to Sheila and tap her shoulder. Clara nodded at Sheila as she prepare herself.
"EVERYONE!!! WE ARE HERE NOW! OUR MISSION IS ONLY 1, TO CLEAR THIS DUNGEON! BEWARE THAT SOME OF US WILL DIE IN THIS DUNGEON AS IT SEEMS A STRONG CREATURE RESIDE ON THE CAVE! ARE YOU ALL PREPARE?!"
"YES MAM!" Everyone shouted at the same time as Rodney, Damnatio, and Clara smiled.
"LET'S ENTER!"
"YEAH!!!"
Back on Aslantan, 2 kids seems to run around circling the whole Aslantan wall. It seems the 2 kids is Noir and Polpo, they run around circling the outside wall of Aslantan. It's unsure since when both of them run around circling the outside wall, but it seems they've done this couple of times before. Noir sweats everywhere as Polpo seems to be quite fine and outspeed Noir easily.
"Dammit... I can't use flow of ether..." he pant "But... I must do... It!"
Though Noir seems to had some ominous feeling on his heart. A throbbing and anxious feeling is in his head, as he is quite worried about Sheila.
"I hope Ms. Sheila is alright... I have to keep doing this... FOR MS. SHEILA!" Noir thought.
As Sheila stab a small creature with similar feature to a dragon. Sheila had her hair tied up in ponytail as the raid party start to cleared the entrance easily. Rodney take out some sort of giant hammer and smash the small creature easily.
"WAHAHAH! THESE SMALL CREATURE ARE NOTHING AGAINST MY MIGHTY STRENGTH!"
Damnatio from the side start to create an orange magic circle in front of him, as he stab it couple of times. A burst of fire launch from the magic circle. When the fire hit the small creature, the blast turn into some sort of flower blooming.
[Tier 2 Combustion Magic : End of Year Bloom]
"Look at my beautiful magic everyone! The flower will bloom early today!"
Clara take out a longbow and aim on two of the small creature, as she also create a magic circle right in front of her bow. Clara release her arrow as green and blue particle created from the tip of the arrow. The arrow hit both of the small creature even though they are not in line, it seems the arrow is controllable by Clara.
[Tier 2 Particle Magic : Early Rain]
"These creature are called Kobold, I heard from the elder that they're the descendant of dragon, but they are basically very weak"
Nolan dash forward to three kobold that scattered around the place. Nolan create a magic circle on his blade as it ignite on fire. Nolan quickly decapitated all 3 of the kobold in one swift motion.
[Tier 1 Fire Magic : Ignite]
"Hmmm, looks like there is a lot of interesting people here..." Nolan said looking at Clara and Damnatio magic or spell.
"Hah! Interesting, some kobold eh? Never see em' in my adventurer days!" Sheila said excitedly.
Sheila lock on to 4 kobold, as she creates a green magic circle right in front of her. Sheila plunge forward 4 times as 4 wind projectile protude from the magic circle. The 4 wind projectile hit the 4 kobold in the head without missing a single one.
[Tier 2 Wind Magic : Piercing Bullet]
Sheila start to dash forward and tries to find more kobold, as Clara catch up to her. It seems they are on the race for killing the most kobold. Sheila and Clara create a green magic circle below their feet.

"I'll beat you this time Clara!"
"Hah, keep dreaming about it Shel!"
As both Clara and Sheila outspeed the other knights and adventurer, as it seems not all of them went in the cave. From what it seems, only around half of the knights went inside the cave. Sheila seems to plan half the knight to enter and the other half to wait outside if the situation gets extremely dangerous.
"WAHAHAH! Ms. Sheila and Ms. Clara are extremely quick, AMAZING!"
A kobold manage to get a sneak attack on Rodney, as Rodney in shock. But Thorak jump and smash the head of the kobold just before the kobold could strike. Thorak seems to use some sort of mace with spike on it and a shield on his left hand. Hilda pummeled the kobold that hides with her greataxe, it seems she somehow knew that there is some kobold hiding.
While Lyron and Freya stand behind some knight, as it seems they are holding themself at the moment. Damnatio smiles, as he run to catch up to Sheila and Clara.
"EVERYONE! FOLLOW MY BEAUTY PARTICLE TO VICTORY!"
"YEAH!!!"
As everyone starts to go deeper and deeper, something in the deepest part of the cave seems to await them with it's glowing red eyes...
