"I'm glad you're asking questions," Tristan replied. "I was worried about that, and I'm going to explain everything to you. But first, please stretch out your hands."

Tristan's strange behavior had already left me feeling confused, but when he instructed me to stretch out my hand, a wave of discomfort washed over me.

"What are you talking about?" I demanded.

"Just trust me. It will only take a second."

My mind whirled as the word echoed repeatedly within my thoughts, causing my heart to flutter with excitement that I could only contain within.
