Bab 35: King's Party(1)

At nightfall, Desmond embarked on his journey toward the inner-city gate, striding purposefully through the dimly lit streets. The echo of his footsteps reverberated, drawing the attention of those still lingering on the road. Dust rose from the ground, stirred by his swift and determined movements.

As he traversed the path, Desmond's keen senses alerted him to a commotion nearby. His pace quickened as he caught sight of a group of menacing thieves brandishing their blades, threatening young women with their presence. Determination fueled his steps as he swiftly passed by, determined to reach his destination. The distant silhouette of the gateway to the inner city beckoned him.

"Damn, it feels like an eternity away," Desmond muttered under his breath. He glanced back, contemplating his predicament. "If I don't find a demon soon, maybe it's time to consider giving up."
