Bab 26: Butterfly 8

Lily smiled broadly in front of one of the cryonic tubes in the storage room. She stood upright in front of the tube, making it difficult for Ryan to see who was in the box.

Ryan blinked his eyes as he looked at the nameplate on the tube. "Is Matthew in there?"

Lily bit her lip. She then pulled over and let Ryan see the face of the person in the cryonic tube behind her. She then stood next to Ryan.

"Let me introduce Ryan. This is Matthew, and Matthew, this is Ryan," Lily said, staring into the small mirror that showed Matthew's face.

"Nice to meet you, Matthew. If we shook hands this time, I would squeeze your hand firmly." Ryan chuckled as he stared at the cryonic tube that held Matthew's body.

Lily laughed softly. "I still remember the moment I saw Matthew for the first time. I couldn't take my eyes off him."

"Even now, you don't take your eyes off him," Ryan said.

Lily immediately turned and realized that Ryan was staring at her. "Sorry. I shouldn't have done that in front of you."

"It's okay. I can still accept it. Besides, it's me right now standing next to you. Not Matthew," Ryan said.

"Sometimes, I imagine Matthew standing next to me. I even dreamed that he came out of the cryonic tube several times," said Lily.

Lily chuckled. "I hope so."

Ryan turned his attention to the cryonic tube that held Matthew's body. There was an uneasy feeling when he realized that Lily liked Matthew even though they had never met. He sighed softly.

Ryan had no problem with the feelings Lily showed Matthew. But Ryan tried to hide his jealousy in front of Lily. He didn't want Lily to keep his distance from him after what they had done last night. As long as he could stand next to Lily, ignoring jealousy wasn't too tricky.

"So, how long do I have to look at Matthew's face?" exclaimed Ryan.

"Oh my God. I'm used to staying here," answered Lily.

Ryan nodded his head. "I don't mind if you still want to be here."

"We better get out of here. I'm sorry," Lily said to Ryan.

"No problem," Ryan said.

Lily turned around and walked away, leaving the cryonic tube that kept Matthew's body. Ryan walked next to her while wrapping his arms around Lily's waist.

"Seems like you'll forget about me if Matthew's been re-awakened," Ryan sulked. He then rested his head on Lily's shoulder.

Lily smiled as she caressed Ryan's face. "Did you shave after returning to the hotel? I think last night I could feel the fine beard on your face."

Ryan responded to Lily's words by laughing softly. "You can remember what we did last night."

"Last night, I realized when I did it with you," Lily said.

"Did you ever imagine Matthew when you were with me?" Ryan asked.

Lily suddenly fell silent. She swallowed her saliva before he responded to Ryan's words. "I wouldn't do that to you, Ryan," she said nervously.

"Really?" Ryan lifted his head from Lily's shoulder and looked at her.

Lily nodded her head. "Sorry, Ryan," Lily thought in a whisper.

Ryan took a deep breath. "Good then. I thought you imagined Matthew when we were together."

"I like Matthew, but I also enjoy my time with you. I've never been like this before. Sorry if I look confused and confused with my attitude," said Lily.

"I'm done being by your side now," Ryan said.

Lily and Ryan finally arrived in front of the car they would ride. Ryan immediately opened the car door, and Lily got into the car. After Ryan followed into the car, the vehicle they were riding drove out of the laboratory not long after.

It wasn't until thirty minutes later that Ryan's car finally arrived in front of Lily's apartment building. Ryan immediately got out of his car and opened the door again for Lily.

"Thank you for coming along with me," Lily said as she and Ryan stood at the entrance to her apartment building.

"I also thank you for introducing me to Mrs. Thomas. Her meat pie is delicious." Ryan nodded his head.

Lily chuckled as she lowered her head. Her hand tucked the dangling hair behind her ear.

Seeing this, Ryan seemed unable to control his heartbeat. His hand suddenly grabbed Lily's face and looked at Lily's blue eyes staring at him.

"What's wrong?" Lily asked.

Ryan shook his head slowly, taking a deep breath. "Sorry, Lily." A second later, Ryan kissed Lily's lips. He kissed Lily's lips as he closed his eyes. He didn't expect Lily to return the kiss, but he wanted to show how much he liked Lily.

After a while, Ryan released the kiss from Lily's lips. He then looked back at Lily. "Sorry, I can't handle it any longer."

Lily smiled as she looked at Ryan. "Why, sorry if you enjoyed kissing my lips? I know you try to confess your feelings to me."

"I want to show you that I like you, Lily. You drive crazy," said Ryan.

"You wanna come in?" Lily asked, turning her head slightly towards the door of her apartment building.

"Can I?"

Lily nodded her head. "Come in." She then took Ryan's hand and led him into her apartment building.

Ryan smiled at the sight of Lily, who once again held his hand. Throughout the day, it was Lily who often had his hand. He didn't know if it was done consciously or if Lily was doing it reflexively to feel awkward.

"I won't let you go, Lily," Ryan said when they finally arrived at Lily's door.

"Then don't," said Lily.

"What about Matt—" Ryan couldn't continue his words because Lily suddenly kissed his lips. Ryan blinked his eyes as he looked at Lily, standing in front of him.

Lily's breath heavily after she split the kiss among Ryan. "I—" Lily lowered her head to hide her sudden nervousness.

Ryan takes a deep breath. He grabbed Lily's apartment key and immediately opened it. While Lily entered her apartment, Ryan followed her.

Ryan immediately closed the apartment door and locked it when they were already in the apartment. As soon as he turned around after locking the apartment door, Lily was already standing behind him.

Ryan immediately approached Lily. He grabbed Lily's face and kissed her again very gently. They both closed their eyes and enjoyed the second that passed between them.
