Julius was a smart man, smart enough to know the possibility of Gabriel slipping out his whereabouts were slim, but nevertheless existent. 

All that had to be done was to apply a tad bit of pressure on him and boom, results achieved.

Julius might've visited the mansion, but would've already left by now. 

James didn't know that, of course, so he was left to think that Julius was currently there. 

He ran out of the room, signaling the guards to bring Gabriel back to his dungeon cell before Gabriel could say anything else and ran up the palace staircase. 

He ordered his chief of staff to have a team of guards search Carrington mansion. 

"Have a team assemble there and catch Marquess Julius and bring him to the palace as soon as possible," James ordered. 

He wished he could follow to personally apprehend Julius, but he had to visit Emma.
