Bab 23: 6. Fate

Hi all. Been on a holiday so i havent seen any comments since last thursday. I got a lot. Im guessing it's from the joker chapter so it's nerve wracking to see what people thought. Anyways, hope you enjoy this chapter.

Toji readies himself for another fight.
However, the helmeted man simply raises his hands. "I am Doctor Fate and I've not come here to fight. Simply to stop you from making a terrible mistake".
"What? Your here for this thing?", growls the merc as he points his blade at the Joker.
"I'm afraid so", responds the other man. "You have no idea just how much I long for this- this creature's death. But it is not his destiny to die by my hands".
Toji growls at him. "Then I'll do it".
"Very well", says Doctor Fate grimly. He waves his hands and the mark on Toji's hand fades away. "Then do what you will".
Toji grins, ensuring the magic binding him is gone. The merc raises his weapon but can't seem to give the finishing blow.
"Stop hesitating, man. Stick it in me", says the Joker with a sneer. Doctor Fate waves his hand and the clown's mouth gets gagged with magic.
"You feel it, don't you?" asks Doctor Fate. "You may not have any magic within you, but even you can feel the hands of fate that surrounds the Joker. Very much like you. You may not know it but destiny has much in store for you both".
The merc raises his eyebrow at the helmeted man then looks at the writhing clown with disgust. "And what does 'fate' want with him. This thing isn't even human anymore. His very essence is the stench of rot. His sole purpose is to commit as much attrosities as he can only to die. The world will be better off with him dead".
"I agree and if it were up to me, he would have been burning in hell long ago. Alas, I have little say in the matter. I'm afraid that is something only fate can decide. All I can tell you is that the Joker must continue to live. Should he die today, something far worse will come to take his place".
"So, what now?" asks the merc as he lowers his weapon.
"There are other ways to deter him until destiny decides it time for him to fulfill his duties", says the doctor as golden chains wrap around the clown who was trying to crawl away.
Understanding what he meant, Toji pulls out the Screaming Kettle and places it on the ground. Both Doctor Fate and the Joker looks at it with curiosity. Toji begins to chant and the kettle's spirit climbs its way out. Doctor Fate steps back and his magic disappears, letting the cursed object's magic do its work. The Joker giggles while he continues to observe the situation not bothering to fight back as the spirit grabs hold of his ankles.
The clown then roars a pained laugh as his legs are forced to squeeze into the kettle's tiny opening. He glares at Toji as his mouth widens with maniacal laughter. His bones break, making the cracking sound echo all around them. Then, his laughter turns into gasping giggles as his upper body is broken and squeezed into the clay kettle. Finally, the Joker gives Toji one final hateful glare before eventually disappearing into the kettle's void.
Toji picks up the item and sees the Joker's portrait added to the thousands of tormented faces. However, unlike the rest of them, the clown is smiling, seeming to enjoy the the pain and suffering that surrounds him.
"If you're right, this won't be able to hold him forever", says the merc.
Doctor Fate nods at him. "No. But it will be enough until such time that he is needed to fulfill his destiny. Now, I believe it's time I help you discover yours".

In a land of fire and brimstone, two sets of eyes glare as monsters of various shapes and sizes kneel before him.
"We have lost her, great one", says the group's leader. "She had the power to create portals. We know not where she escaped to".
The four-eyed beast growls making the rest of the creatures shiver. "It matters not. There's only one place left for her to run to. Assemble the rest. Soon, a new world will be ripe for the reaping".
The leader of the group bows lower. "Yes, great one".
The creatures stand up, ready to leave but were immediately stopped by the four-eyed beast. "Before I forget. I must give you your reward".
The leader turn's his head in confusion. "My lord?".
The, spikes come out of the ground, impaling the creature in place. The rest of the creature step back in shock, but their fear eventually turn to malevolent smiles.
"Such is failure's reward", says the four-eyed beast. "Do not fail me again".
The rest of the creatures quickly scramble away from the beast.
The four-eyed beast then looks into the distance. "My dear daughter",it says to itself. "When will you learn? You cannot escape your destiny. Your fate is to stand beside me and watch as the universe burns. Eventually, you will accept your purpose and as my bride, we will spawn a new age together".

A girl leaps out of a portal and falls on the wet concrete, her purple robe tattered from everything she just went through. She tries to stand but here legs won't move, already tired from the constant running. She tries to crawl but eventually decides to instead lean on a nearby wall. She lets the rain wash over her weariness and pain.
Then, from the shadows, a man and a woman appear, dressed in suits and tophats. They study her carefully but don't say a word.
"Please", pleads the girl with a weakening voice. "I need your help. Trigon is coming".

So the arc 2 villain reveal is here. There's no Teen Titans yet at this stage so it's gonna be Young Justice doing the work.
I haven't seen past season 2 of the show since Wally getting zapped like that made me quit. From what I hear though, a lot of good things happened after that. So maybe i'll get back into it again someday.
Also. Hear me out. If Zeus can do it, why not Trigon? Maybe in a side-story, I can let Trigon get the girl. Pretty sure that would make some of you very happy. R18+ anyone?
